Market Leading Consumer Goods Company

Global Head of Workplace / Property, Fleet & Travel - London

Project Brief

Brattle Cameron was engaged at board level, with the requirement to source a progressive leader who would transform the existing operating model of the CRE team.

This would include significantly enhancing performance, driving value from the internal team supply chain partners, foster innovation & customer connectivity throughout all service lines, as well as embracing digital opportunities and ensuring exceptional sustainability performance.

The ideal candidate would have the potential to grow well beyond the workplace/ property environment into a broader Enterprise Services role. Diversity was an extremely important criteria.

Outcome

We produced a truly diverse shortlist, guiding the client and the ultimate candidate to a successful conclusion.

The appointed candidate's influence has grown significantly since taking on the role and she is widely recognised as one of the most exciting talents in our sector.

Global Financial Services Group

Global Head of Colleague Experience - London

Project Brief

Our client was embarking on a significant global transformation of its physical footprint. It was migrating to lower cost locations in all key regions and consolidating into new campus-style facilities, which would deliver an enhanced colleague experience to the business.

There was the need to complement the existing leadership team with someone who could curate and deliver its global colleague experience; defining the strategy, producing the business cases, ensuring delivery and adoption across the global footprint while taking account of cultural differences and the unique requirements of each location.

Outcome

Identified and delivered an exceptional leader and expert in this field, who sat completely outside of the corporate (residential) world. She operating at board level with a background of service delivery excellence spanning multiple sectors on a local, regional and global basis.

Global Media Company

Global Head of Design & Construction - New York

Project Brief

Following a period of rapid growth and a shift from a regional to a global operating model, this client identified, at board level, the need for a global leader and SME who could oversee these critical functions.

The requirement was for improved governance, controls and commercial oversight, whilst driving innovation, embracing technology and data and creating a more sophisticated global platform.

Strong desire for candidates to have experience operating in agile, fluid, growing global environments.

Outcome

Delivered at pace a diverse shortlist of candidates across the globe, all of whom met or exceeded the expectations of the client.

Global Technology Company

EMEA Head of Workplace / Property & Facilities - USA

Project Brief

A US-based client approached us having completed their own search for this role, frustrated at the lack of diverse regional leaders on their shortlist and asking for assistance.

Outcome

Within three weeks we pulled together a shortlist of five candidates that met their criteria, ultimately working with them to appoint one of them into the role.

Global Real Estate Services Company

CEO, EMEA Corporate Services - USA

Project Brief

Initially engaged by global CEO in the US to confidentially map the market and identify exceptional talent.

Having delivered the research and market insights, we were instructed to confidentially approach specific targets not known to the client and determine interest and suitability.

All candidates were already highly successful business leaders not looking for a move before our approach.

Outcome

Successfully appointed the preferred candidate who subsequently was promoted into the Global CEO role.

Market Leading Oil & Gas Group

Global Head of Facilities Management - UK

Project Brief

This was a confidential project born out of a global consulting assignment and a shift in operating model within the Group Property function. The business identified a requirement for a new role as the global strategy / centre of excellence leader to ensure an optimal and consistent approach to service delivery across the globe.
This was a highly complex environment going through significant transformation with a requirement to source a progressive leader who would transform the existing Operating Model, lead the evaluation, procurement and performance management of appropriate supply chain partner/s and drive innovation and customer connectivity throughout all service lines and ensure exceptional Sustainability performance.

Outcome

We delivered a diverse shortlist that exceeded client expectations and guided the client and the ultimate candidate to a successful conclusion. The successful candidate has already made a significant impact internally and she is highly respected in the external market.

Global Financial Services Firm

Global Head of Energy, Environment & Sustainability - London

Project Brief

Engaged by the Global Head of Business/ Shared Services, this client has an ambition to transform their business in this area and become recognised as a market leader in their field. They had managed their own recruitment process via internal resources without success, before turning to us to manage a global search. They sought a visionary leader, with proven credentials in developing and delivering global Sustainability & Environmental strategies which generate tangible outputs in complex regulated and commercial environments. In addition, the successful candidate was responsible for building and implementing a governance framework and performance management matrix for these functions, building in appropriate benchmarking data so the client could accurately report at Board level on progress. This was a key strategic appointment recognising the increasing criticality and external profile of these functions in the global business environment.

Outcome

Delivered a global shortlist of diverse candidates which the client was delighted with and guided the client and the ultimate candidate to a successful conclusion. This process was made more challenging as the vast majority of the recruitment process had to be managed remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Global Hedge Fund

Global Head of Energy & Environment - London

Project Brief

This rapidly growing and highly profitable business sought a leader with exceptional commercial, technical, data and people/ stakeholder management skills to run their Engineering Operations outside the US. The client culture is heavily data driven but also highly entrepreneurial with an expectation for agile leaders who are recognised experts in their fields and able to operate independently and take accountability for their decisions. Their office/ trading footprint stretched from Sydney to London with rapid expansion predicted in Asia and EMEA and so the requirement was for someone who could operate successfully across multiple time zones and cultures. Unusually, cost was not a driver for this client – they were more concerned with professionalising these functions, driving innovation and embracing emerging technologies whilst managing risk and delivery quality, during a massive growth phase.

Outcome

Delivered a shortlist including candidates in Asia and London, managing a robust/ demanding interview process and ultimately secured the clients preferred candidate. We were awarded a new search mandate from the same client in recognition of this process.

Global Financial Services Group

Managing Director, Global Head of Capital Projects - Zurich

Project Brief

To manage a global search to source an exceptional leader of this function who would also sit on a global ExCo and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the Corporate Real Estate/ Business Services group within the business. Primary focus was to source a SME in Capital Projects who was also a business leader, with exceptional commercial, financial and people/ stakeholder management skills and who had demonstrably delivered and managed on a global basis. This was a sophisticated client with an expectation for something different to help them retain a market leading position in this area – the search needed to go well beyond direct competitors and the process was rigorous in this regard. Location was important, with a preference for Zurich.

Outcome

We delivered a global shortlist of six candidates which we ultimately thinned down to three, before securing the clients preferred candidate which included the requirement for a re-location.

Leading Global Law Firm

Global Real Estate Manager
- London

Project Brief

The client approached us to assist them in finding an interim global real estate manager for 12 months. This was a senior role working closely with the Global Head of Property and multiple internal stakeholder groups, leading a number of ongoing real estate projects on an end-to-end basis. There was an expectation that the role holder would be a subject matter expert with exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, but also have proven capabilities in building and analysing cash flow models in support of business case preparation when considering global transactions. The mix of these skills and experiences coupled with the need for strong cultural alignment and speed of delivery made for a challenging search, particularly when the impact of COVID-19 meant that the successful candidate had to complete the interview process and start the role remotely.

Outcome

The client did not want to meet a lot of candidates – this was urgent and they just wanted the right answer. We presented one candidate who was available quickly and met all the clients criteria. She started remotely in the middle of the lockdown period.

Global Financial Services Firm

Research Consultancy: Global Operating Model Review

Project Brief

Engaged by the Global Head of Business/ Shared Services seeking to understand how competitors and related corporates structure the broad Real Estate Services and Location/ Workforce Strategy functions as part of an organisational planning and transformation process. There was no immediate requirement to hire off the back of this process, although the client was curious to understand where the market leading talent resided in some key functions/ locations for future reference.

There was the need to complement the existing leadership team with someone who could curate and deliver its global colleague experience; defining the strategy, producing the business cases, ensuring delivery and adoption across the global footprint while taking account of cultural differences and the unique requirements of each location.

Outcome

Delivered a comprehensive and very well received research report which became an important component of the clients business case for organisational change.

Global Technology Firm

Research Consultancy: Diversity Upgrade

Project Brief

This highly respected market leading technology firm requested our assistance in identifying and attracting a global pipeline of diverse talent across all functions within it’s broad Real Estate, Facilities and Workplace functions.
